The office feels their main mission is to get kids into UCs. Extremely bright, well behaved students get essentially no attention from the counseling staff. Each year when my kids had their yearly meeting with their counselor, she said, "Good grades. Any questions? See you next year." The meetings lasted less than 5 minutes. I understand now why parents choose to send their children to private high schools; there they get the attention of the counseling staff, and the school is highly motivated to get their students into the best schools, so they are competitive in the private school market. I have one argument though. our wheels are made of different kinds of polyurethane with a plastic or aluminum hub for the bearings. The only other thing i have a slight issue with is that you say the larger ones are strictly for speed. Quite often you will see professional riders(such as myself) riding a board that rranges from 34-42 inches long, and with varying wheelsbases. I have personally gone 60 mph on a 36.5" board. In time, you'll get to know some people, and the guys will resepect you if they see you working hard like them.
